    • Hi Rumki, as a Krishi Proyukti Sahayak you’ll be working as a village level adviser/friend to the farmers (formerly known as block level ‘KrishiBondhu’). You’ve to provide them latest information on the seeds, fertilizers, process and techniques of farming/cultivation, weather/climatic condition and new schemes & projects of State or Central Govt./NGOs (loan, projects like Ever Green Revolution etc.) which will be related to agriculture. You’ll be given charges for 2-3 Gram Panchayats or more and have to undergo a 3 years in service training in Agricultural Research Centers situated at District level like Chopra (Uttar Dinajpur), Patiram-Majhian (Dakshin Dinapur) or Pundibari (Coochbehar) etc.

My name is Rinku Chatterjee. My Roll No. For KPS under PSC is 0714427. Plese give me the result.

  • Shreya Chakraborty says:

    Hi Sir/Madam,
Thanks for your reply. I feel nice to read your assumption & it’s quite justified which can be understood to read all other answer you have given. We all are preparing ourselves & giving examination (Duration :- 1hr/ 2hrs) to get the ultimate result. I shall keep my finger crossed and wait for the final day besides the preparation of the other examinations.
In my KPS admit card my father name was AMIM CHAKRABORTY instead of Amit Chakraborty. I could not able to change it at that point of time shortage. Will it be a serious problem later on? My second question is I gave KPS exam for the district of South 24PGS. There was 87 posts for general candidate. Suppose It will fill up and in that district the last highest mark is 72; means 87th ranked aspirant got 72. but the vacancy are still there for few other district. In that case will the authority select a candidate who got 67/68 for other district or as he/she preferred the particular district was not able to join anywhere. Please Clarify this. Hope you understand what i’m trying to say.
    Best wishes,
    Shreya.

    • Hi Shreya,
Its our pleasure to know that our Portal is assisting you and other aspirants. We’re trying our level best to keep in touch with all Govt. Exam aspirants like you. Soon we’ll start Online Coaching for WBCS Exam. We’ll update you on this in time.

Regarding you Question#1 – Don’t be so tensed regarding the error in your Father’s name in KPS Admin Card. If you will get a call in the final selection (we always wish you all the best for the same), you’ve to immediately contact PSC, West Bengal authority directly in their Kolkata office (at S.P. Mukherjee Road) to fix the issue. But you’ve to do the same before initiation of PVR.

And now the 2nd question, very interesting and useful question at all. There will be single state level merit list. But when the selected candidates will be classified district wise then the marks on the district wise merit list will fluctuate. As per normal rule, none will be given any favour regarding the District alteration after the application. It was clearly mentioned in the Terms/Rules of the KPS Exam (check info booklet). Hence the 88th candidate (Gen) in your district will not be appointed in-spite of having higher marks than another district when compared.

If at any stage, PSC will set a minimum qualify marks and on that basis if there will be any vacant post in any district, then PSC will decide whether they will give a chance to the other district’s candidates or not (88th rank holder of your district). But this will just depend on PSC’s concern. So, we should not hope for this :)

Anyway, keep browsing for more updates. Please follow us on Twitter or Facebook also. Please share our Govt. Exam Preparation portal with your friends to grow us more.

Soon we’re going to launch regular online course/crash course on WBCS Prelim Exam and Optional subjects.

As per your enquiry, we can convey that if you’re very much sure about your scoring of 65+% in KPS Exam, then there is a fair chance to crack this exam. Dept exams, 65-70% marks is enough to get a call for interview of final selection. As in KPS there will not be any interview or PT phase, you can expect a call for appointment.

As per our last telecon with PSC, they are unable to project the Date of the result of this KPS Exam. We think the result may be declared after Panchayat Exam (May 2013). Lets hope for best. Keep visiting us.

cut off marks will remain same or vary for different district???

  • Biswanath Nayak says:

cut mark will be same for all district or verify?

    • Hi Biswanath,
Its our pleasure to have your enquiry on KPS Exam’s Cutoff. Yes, obviously, the cutoff marks will be maintained uniform in all district. Just try to understand that Public Service Commission in a State level autonomous as well as Statutory Institute which recruits Government Servants for different departments of West Bengal where they are bound to keep the cutoff marks same for all throughout the state. In every competitive exam, this common procedure is maintained where a unique merit list is prepared. Hope everything is now clear to you on the cutoff marks of Krishi Proyukti Exam of West Benagl.

why the result is not publish.what is the reason behind this.it is enough time for any recruitment

    • Hi Sarfaraz,

You’re most welcome to the UPSC/State PSC Exam Preparation Portal. There is no concrete reason behind the delayed procedure of the result. Recently we found that WB Government is going to recruit Group-C employees on basis of almost half pay (only basic+yearly 3% increment). So none can give you the actual answer directly. There are lots of pending results in our state like – PSC Misc 2012 Mains, KPS 2011, WBCS 2011, WBCS 2012 Mains, SSC 2012, etc in our state. Hope you can recognize the pinpoint reason behind this delaying which we cannot express here officially :)

sir, today I have come to know about a govt. circular applicable to Group C employees (Clerk) that the newly appointed employees have to face departmental exam. for there permanent recruitment. is it applicable to KPS recruitment?

    • Hi Tanmay,
Welcome to our UPSC & State PSC Portal. Thanks for a nice and useful enquiry on the changes of rule pattern in WBPSC and WBSSC (new). Please note one important point, Group-C Employees means not only the Clerical Cadres but also all other same or equivalent Govt. servant lies in the same service hierarchy. It consists of KPS, LDC of all Govt. Dept., etc. Moreover, if you go through the KPS information booklet, then you’ll find a section where there were mentioned that the KPS post would be 3 years on service training which just similar to this present new rule. Only add-on is curtailing of salary (upto 50%). Hope your doubt is now clear. Please keep in touch for further clarification. Keep watching our Portal on regular basis for more udpates.

    • Hello Biswanath,
Welcome to http://www.WBCSPORTAL.com. Its our pleasure to have as an visitor in this upcoming largest Government Exam Preparation Portal. Thanks for your enquiry on KPS Exam 2011 which was conducted by WBPSC in last year in July. We’re sorry to inform you that, we missed that particular news which was published in AnandaBazar (as per your message) in January 2013. Can you please refer us the actual date of the edition on which you read the news on Calcutta High Court’s verdict on WBPSC KPS Exam 2011.
By the way, if High Court ordered to recruit the 331 previous candidate, then obviously the existing vacancy will be curtailed down. But you’ll be happy to know that according to PSC Source, the vacancy may increase as there are more post available to recruit which is now vacant due to recent (2011-13) retirements. So don’t worry on the scarcity of the post. Just keep faith on yourself and get set ready for your coming exam. Keep watching and visiting our Exam Portal for more updates.

  • dimple says:

sir could u pls tell the cut off marks for wbcs prelims for general candidates

    • Hello Dimple,

Welcome to http://www.WBCSPORTAL.com. Its nice to have your query on the cutoff marks of the West Bengal Civil Services (Exe) & Etc. Prelim Exam. We’ve clearly mentioned the Cutoff marks of WBCS 2011 & 2012 (as per our sources) in the below but as you know none can correctly tell you the exact cutoff marks. But if we look forward towards other WBPSC exams (MISC, Clerkship, KPS etc.) and SSC exams (HS level, CGL etc), the cutoff marks for General Category candidate is approximately around 55-60% every year. To be a safe player you have to score beyond the threshold of 60% in Prelim exams of WBCS. Hence the most probable cutoff something like below -

WBCS Prelim MCQ Part Total Marks = 200
      General Cutoff (likely to be) = 200 x 60% = 120

Cutoff Marks of WBCS-2011 Prelim Exam = 106 (approx.) – General Category
Cutoff Marks of WBCS-2012 Prelim Exam = 112 (approx.) – General Category

Hence anyone above this score may expect a call but still we cannot or never assure you as everything is unexpected in every stage of this type of competitive exams. If you’ll score almost 60+% marks then you are in safe ground and there is a great chance to crack this WBCS Prelim Exam which is conducted by the West Bengal Public Service Commission.

Hope everything is clarified in details as per your curiosity on the CUTOFF marks of WBCS Exam.

    Dear Sir,
I understood what you have said. Yes there are many areas where i can improve myself and your url is one of the best for all the aspirants like me and i’m just not saying this to feel you good but this is a true fact. I regularly visit your site and i tell you this from the bottom of my heart.
8th july 2012 in second half KPS exam i have given. I told you that, I did 04 silly mistakes means I did not attend 2 questions & I made 9 mistakes, out of which 4 questions i made silly mistakes as these answers were previously known by me. So in 70 marks the deduction would be 2+ 9 + 3=14. I have checked it afterward in a monthly competitive book where the answer were given.

    best regards,
    Probal.

    • Hello Probal, Its our pleasure to have you as one of the promising Govt. exam aspirants. We can now recognize your mistakes in KPS. Don’t worry. Keep faith on yourself. • Probal Datta Gupta says:

    Dear Sir,
I just wanna know that now a days the standard & preparation is very high due to several professional coaching and competetive books. KPS is a single time examination. So is there any chance to increase the cut off marks? Hence i’m expecting to get total of 70-71 out of the 100 marks & i’m a general candidate.

    • Hello Probal,

Welcome to http://www.WBCSPORTAL.com. We are glad to know that you’re also looking for an idea on the cutoff marks of the WBPSC KPS Exam 2011.

You’re absolutely correct. Now-a-days the competition is very high. All the Government service aspirants are fighting shoulder to shoulder to crack the hard nut of these type of exams hence the chances are narrowing day by day. But don’t worry. If you’re preparing yourself with positive motivation alongwith immense determination towards your goal then you’ll obviously enjoy the success at the end.

If you’re expecting a marks of 70-71 out of total marks of 100 then there is a quite sound chances of yourself to crack this exam but we’ll never guarantee you anything. Last year we’ve faced the same in the case of WBPSC’s WBCS Prelim Exam (2012). All the calculation and probability on the cutoff of WBCS Prelim Exam in 2012 went in vein.

We can highlight one thing that the KPS Exam aspirants may score max 65 in MCQ (Part-I) but none can assure they will score sameway in the Part-II (written exam). So we have predict the above mentioned Cut-off marks strategy of the West Bengal PSC’s Krishi Proyukti Sahayak (KPS) Exam 2011.

        Dear Sir,
Thanks for your reply. Actually I was not able to crack any Govt jobs till date although I appeared six (06) times at the final round of Govt. exam / interview (in the recruitment exams of Court, Rail, Central Govt. jobs etc). In KPS Exam 2011 I wrong answered 6 MCQ questions. Actually I am expecting to get 56 out of 70. I practiced 50-60 set of reports (English+Bengali) and 50-60 translations (Bengali to English) and now hoping to get 14 or 15 in writing skills of this KPS Exam. I am doubtful that 04 marks will be vital or not.

      • Hello Probal,
Nice to hear from you again. Its our pleasure that you’ve scored quite well in MCQ section and if you’re expecting 50% in the writing skills then it’ll be nice but we cannot assure you that as we’ve precisely reformed the language of your last comment (hope you can recognize it in the above comment). Its our friendly alert to you to nourish your skills in English comprehension and writing as just exercising a set of reports/translation is not enough.

We think you’ve to work out few aspects of your preparation. We’re going to introduce a ‘Tips & Tricks’ section in our http://www.WBCSPORTAL.com where you’ll find the basic fund on the wholesome preparation of Government exams.

Lastly please clarify more regarding the last line of your above comment i.e. ’04marks’.

  • Besul says:

what will be the cut off for general?

    • Hi Besul, Welcome to http://www.WBCSPORTAL.com. Its nice to have your query on the cutoff marks of the WBPSC KPS Exam 2011. We cannot correctly tell you the exact cutoff marks. But if we look forward towards other WBPSC exams (WBCS, MISC, Clerkship etc.) and SSC exams (HS level, CGL etc), the cutoff marks for general category candidate is approximately around 55-60% every year. To be a safe player you have to score beyond the threshold of 60% in any prelim or tier1 or stage1 exams. Moreover in the last Krishi Proyukti Sahayak (Agricultural Technology Assistant) exam, 70% was MCQ type and 30% was conventional written type. Our exam experts checked the 3daysx2sessions=6set of question papers and analyzed a forecast. Hence the most probable cutoff something like below -

MCQ Part Total Marks = 70
      General Cutoff = 70 x 60% = 42
      Written Part (Bengali+English) Total Marks = 30
      General Cutoff = 30 x 50% = 15
Total General Cutoff = 42+15=57 out of 100 marks.

Hence anyone above this score may expect a call but still we cannot or never assure you as everything is unexpected in every stage of this type of competitive exams. If you’ll score almost 62-65 marks then you are in safe ground and there is a great chance to crack this KPS exam.
